All Eyes on Art

A great way to give your space a little character is through art. It easily adds charm and personality to any room.  Though it can seem elusive, great art can be easy to find...if you know where to look.

My favorite place to find art is when traveling. It's a perfect way to find unique pieces and support local artisans while creating timeless mementos.

Below I have shared a couple of my favorite global finds and the ways in which I have chosen to display these over the years.

These African masks make a great grouping and create a wall of interest. These masks were collected from trips to Tanzania, Rwanda and Kenya.

African Spears: great at the end of a hallway or above a sofa

Dong Ho painting from Vientnam

Indian Wood Carvings

Double Ikat Balinese Weaves

If you're not planning an exotic trip anytime soon, another great source for art is Etsy.

Below is a beautiful group of charcoal nudes I got on Etsy. I love these.

And of course sometimes you find a great thing right outside your front door. These wonderful paintings from a Japanese artist were being sold on the street.
